I'm looking for some games that are not violent and don't just about any kind of offensive material. Could you tell me some free and clean games for mac?
Thanks,
Chilaha

You get what you pay for. :) You might want to consider a variety of games available for iOS on iphone and ipad with free limited versions of the games. Like Angry Birds or Plants vs Zombies. I mean chucking corn kernals at zombies is not that bad from a violence standpoint is it? ;) You'll find a few non-violent games here but most involve guns and shooting. There is Othello... If you have an intel Mac check out the Apps store. They have a variety of free games listed.

I'd second the suggestion to check the Mac app store for stuff.

Also, google "mac games" and you should find a few sites. One i recall is macgamestore that has a lot of family friend stuff.

Check the Mac Appstore for free versions of:
-Minesweeper
-Solitaire
-Mah Jongg
-RailMaze
-Pawn'd (lite)
All free, all good.

Not free, but the best non-violent game I've played in YEARS has got to be Valve's Portal/Portal2. Presented as a shooter, but something much, much larger. You kill no one during the entire game, and the puzzles presented are mind-expanding treats. The story and atmosphere in Portal2 is better than any movie I've seen in the past decade.

It's old, but Myst. Not free either, but dirt cheap and worth every penny. Still one of the best game stories I've encountered.

+1 for Portal/Portal 2 as well. The only violent bits are the turrets, but they're more cheeky than violent, if that makes any sense.

I am addicted to Orbital. Out since 2009; still a great timewaster. Stay with the free version; the added versions in the pay version are not as good.

You do shoot fireballs, but only at bubbles.

While not free, Virtual Pool HD is amazing. The physics are nearly perfect.
