Hi everyone.

Very soon I will be traveling to Mexico, to places where I might not have an internet connection or WIFI.

Can anyone recommend an offline English-Spanish translator for the Iphone?

Google Translate seems to have offline mode, but I believe that this feature is available only for Android.
I cannot find a way to download a language in my Google Translate app for Iphone.

Thank you in advance.

I doubt it, and even online ones aren't that reliable. A dictionary will get you through day to day things if people are patient with you.. but it wouldn't hurt if you knew basic conjugations so you can at least ask for help or the weather etc. in bad Spanish. I guess it's not important if you're going for a short trip though. And I hear you're better off playing the "I don't know Spanish" card if la policia want something from you anyway.

Have you downloaded the built in English to Spanish dictionary that comes with iOS? It's something at least.

I was not aware that IOS comes with its built in dictionary. How do I find it?

Just highlight any word whenever iOS can do so and on the pop-up menu choose define. It should by default have the Apple terms and system language dictionaries. On the lower left hand side there is a option to manage the available dictionaries and you'll be able to download all the dictionaries you want including the English to Spanish dictionary that you want. Hope it helps.
