So, have a pair of Dell 24" monitors that are a few years old (ok, 5 or so) that has all the standard connectors. What's the best connector for these to the nMP? Just the Apple DVI-to-MiniDisplay adapter?

And probably a few:

And likely a:

just in case...

Anything else? ;)

you are fine with a displayport to dvi adapter.

why do you want a thunderbolt to ethernet adapter if the mac pro has 2 on board?

This might help too

----------

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Thunderbolt ports support the following technologies as well.

Mini DisplayPort output using a Mini DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort cable.
DVI output using a Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter.
VGA output using a Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter.
Dual-Link DVI output using Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter. This supports the 30-inch Apple Cinema HD Display.
HDMI audio and video output using a third-party Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter.

Why on earth would you want a TB to ethernet dongle? Unless you're kidding around.

I'll have 2x TB Cinema and 1x Cinema 27" displays on my nMP, and it's annoying that I'll get three gratuitous ethernet ports with that. The two built in will be better and all anybody needs.
