Best PC Software for ripping and identifying

My cousin wants to start ripping her DVD's i've only ever done this on a mac. I see Handbrake is also available for PC. Does it work well for PC? Any other suggestions?

Also i use identify to add meta data to all my movies. What are some good programs for the pc. I tried google searching but can't find any results/don't know what to search for.
