Greetings to all,

I just received my Samsung 870 Pro 2TB SSD and wondering what MacOS you would recommend as the best performing / most reliable to go with?

The stock Apple SSD came with High Sierra. I’d like to run a MacOS that is directly compatible/installable without the use of OCLP for the moment.

I have nothing against OCLP, just that with this first ever MacBook I just acquired, I’d like to run it with no patcher for some time with the best applicable MacOS.

Your recommendations / feedback is appreciated.

Regards,

Mark

Monterey is the only OS dat still receives security updates. And it doesn't need open core.

Is it me or is Monterey a bit slower than High Sierra on initial startup?

Perhaps, but once you can start using it it's OK The Samsung T7 is slower and takes a bit more time to boot. I had a MacBook Pro 2015 mid in the past and it performed well with Monterey on the internal SSD.
