I'm using my iPad with a PC and Picasa as my photo management software. The photo folder sync as far as I can tell is limited to one parent folder (i.e. all folders you want to sync have to be one level down from the parent). Since I have all my photos organized by year/event etc I have to create special folder for the the photos I want to add to my iPad and put copies of my photos there.

What size I should export all the photos for the iPad to? Right now I am basically making full res copies in my syncing folders but that is going to eat up hard drive space quick. I can't find anywhere what resolution the iPad is "optimizing" for when it syncs photos. They look too good to be just 1024x768.

How are you managing photos on a PC with your iPad?
