Just got my -08 imac 24" so I plan to install 4Gig asap.
What is the best place with quality memory at a good price?
Crucial, OWC or somewhere else?

THanks

I got mine from Crucial all be it for a Macbook. I downloaded the 'system checker" and it tells you what exactly you need to buy.

Over a year later never had any problems.

Newegg has some decent prices, check around places like ZipZoomFly, TigerDirect, and Directron.

I picked up 4gigs of Crucial memory from Fry's last week for $37. Not a bad deal, but not the best either. If you don't need it right now, shop around, there's usually a rebate going on somewhere.

I almost always buy my RAM from NewEgg, except if Amazon has a great deal. A few weeks ago NewEgg had a special on RAM for 08 iMacs (which I bought), 4GB kit (2x 2GB) DDR2-800 SODIMMs for $30 I think. G.Skill, OWC, Crucial are all good brands. A 4GB kit matching those specs priced at $40 or less is a good deal.
