I think i have a rev B MBA though its the base 1.6ghz model and I am considering a HD upgrade to turn up the speed a bit. What / where would you recommend I get the PROPER one with everything I'd need to do the install? Which online guide do you guys recommend?

I've done a G4 Ibook hard drive so I figure this cant be any worse.

Anyone? What about replacement other drives. Are there any 5400 or 7200rpm drives that'll fit?

Runcore has a 128 GB SSD. Photofast has a few SSDs.

There will be another manufacturer in this market soon with 128 and 256 GB SSDs for the v 2,1 MBAs.

There is only one 1.8" LIF HDD I know of and it's the same HDD as is in the MBA. People have found them in the $120 range before. 4200rpm sucks! Makes it really slow in comparison to the SSD versions.

I would stay away from an HDD if it were mine. The only way to speed up the MBA with a drive is to go with an SSD. I loved my Runcore SSD. Some have had mixed results.
