I usually buy all my phones direct from Apple. My last two phones (X, XS Max) I just swapped out my sim and bought unlocked.

It seems there are various iPhone deals cropping up from retailers now - Walmart, Target, etc. I'm on ATT.

Do any of these usually come out ahead? I literally just want the phone - no monthly payments, no new plans, no new contract, etc. Is Apple still the way to go? Thanks.
