I would like to print some hi-res photographs and artwork at sizes 18" x 24" and larger.

What would be my best choice for good quality, affordable prints? I notice iPhoto's built-in service charges $14.99 per 18" x 24" print (plus shipping) and that's the largest format they offer.

Is there another online option that people have used that's cheaper/better? What about just going into a local print shop or Kinko's?

Thanks for the advice...

Best Place to get large poster printed

Have you checked the ads in the back of photo magazines? Or tried Costco online? You do need to have your montor calibrated so what you see is what youll get; and submit in the same color space they print in(usually sRGB) as a high resolution jpeg file.

I've used MPIX a few times for smaller prints and have been impressed. I'm sure their large prints are just as good. You can get prints as large as 24x36. They also have metallic paper, which is awesome.

I've used Sam's Club in the past. Cheap and decent results...
Don't know if it would be good enough quality for you though...could do a test print.
