Hi
I use screenflow to record videos on my 27" iMac. The machine has a 1TB fusion drive, an external 500GB firewire/usb G-Drive, and an attached Synology NAS in a mirrored RAID.
Does it matter if I use the iMac's fusion drive as my scratch disk (there's plenty of space) and/or my render disk?
I was using the external G-Drive as my scratch and my render because I read that it's "bad" to use SSDs for rendering purposes. But I went through a number of threads here and it seems that people are OK using SSDs for these purposes.
And lastly, would it just make more sense to use the NAS RAID that I have attached for scratch and render - it's connected via wired ethernet.
Thank you!
David
