I have a 8gb iphone, not the new 3G kind (got it online, so no Apple warranty or anything), and the screen is badly cracked. It still works perfectly, however. I'm afraid to replace the glass myself after doing some googling of the problem. Can anybody recommend somewhere that will do it well and not charge $200? And I want somewhere that somebody has used before and knows is not just some place that I'll ship my phone and never see it again. Thanks.

Or if somebody is brave enough to pay the $20 for new glass off ebay and tackle it themself, I'd be willing to trade my phone for a 4gb one without any cracks. I'm almost going to risk it myself to save the $180, but I just know I'd do something stupid that would kill the phone.

There's a place here in San Diego that can do it for $30. I'm getting mine done as soon as the new screen arrive.
