Just curious as I have it listed as a feeler in the Marketplace here but doesn't seem to have any interest - I figure most members are looking for something that isn't 14-15 years old but you never know, holding out hope that a collector might come along and want it.

I'm thinking eBay is probably my only other real option, but I hate their fees. This particular MBP is the high-end, final revision before the switch to unibody. It's in excellent condition with a few upgrades (Monterey + 802.11ac WiFi + SSD) and a super low cycle count (52) but I feel like eBay buyers don't care as much about all that. I think $275ish is fair given the condition and the modest upgrades but they may not. Are there other sites out there I'm not aware of that I could try and not get hit with a huge loss in fees?

Open to suggestions if you all have any. :)

LOL you could try Facebook Marketplace - one of the vintage mac groups on there. Craigslist, letgo, offerup etc are some others. I ran a quick completed listings search on "mid/late 2007 17" macbook pro" and averaged the first four clean listings I found. That calculated out to $97.25, so you may not be seeing traction because they're finding more attractive pricing on ebay or elsewhere. Looks like that hi-res screen was a custom BTO so could command a slightly higher price to the right buyer but to that point, it looks like most are selling well below what you are considering to be a fair offer (275ish). Best of luck to you.

Thank you! I'll keep that in mind and appreciate the suggestions on other online stores. FB is actually where my Mac Pro 5,1 recently sold...I only had 2 people message me in about a week but one of them did end up buying it lol.

Has the GPU been already replaced on your machine? If you haven’t let do it Apple has released some revisions which indicate this by a green dot sticker on the RAM slot.

If yes you may find someone who is willing that price. Otherwise it is only a matter of time until the GPU fails and that makes your machine highly unattractive for buyers.
A GPU repair costs around 100 USD + shipping.
So you can easily subtract that price from your asked one.
And even then
Good Luck to you

Fair point. I forgot this generation also suffered from bad solder issues for the GPU. I may just revert it back to stock HDD and WiFi and use the upgraded parts for a different machine, then lower the price as suggested. Haven't actually listed it anywhere yet but will soon.
