Hi there.

I'm researching eGPU for me MBP13 (2019) but I'm having a bit of a hard time to find the info I need.

What's the best possible graphics card that Apple supports for this (gaming is the goal)?

For the eGPU unit, I'll probably go with a Razer Core X Chroma, unless there's something more recommended out there?

Any suggestions?

It does seem like the AMD Radeon VII is king of the hill right now. Is that right?

Natively supported in MacOS, the Radeon VII is the highest performing GPU. However, if your focus is on gaming and you're doing so in Windows (strongly recommended), you might want to consider an NVIDIA GPU. It won't work in MacOS, but will in Windows.

I agree. Gaming go Nvidia. 2070 super. I don’t think you will get much more benefit through tb3 to justify the 2080.
Radeon VII discontinued btw so I wouldn’t buy that......plus they have fan issues. It’s a bit of a mess on the Mac side at the mo as the drivers not out for the latest Navi gpu’s

So does that mean I can run Nvidia cards with a eGpu through bootcamp for decent performance? I thought Nvidia was not supported at all. If so I'll just buy a GTX2070 or so.

100%
Look at www.egpu.io
Nvidia works very well with a 13” mbp in bootcamp. MacOS doesn’t support them.
