hello.

i have a number of macs (old and newer ones). my photos library is stored in an external drive.

once i connect and open the photos library in my e.g. macos sonoma mac, i could open the library and use it.

connecting it to the older macs, it says that the library is not compatible etc.

can you tell me, how do you store your photos (library)? is there a way, to open the photos library in old and newer macs?

Synchronize it by iCloud Photo Library, get another app, or upgrade your older Macs. Not really any other solution.
