Best practices for recording video off iPhone?

I have been toying around with a few methods to record video off the iPhone for use on websites, youtube etc but im running into some problems.

I have found that the only acceptable quality comes from turning down the brightness all the way and recoding in a pitch black room. This allows the video to be recorded decently but it looks very noisy (snowy).

If I do it in a bright room there is so much reflection off the iphone even with an anti glare screen cover on it.

If we could discuss the best strategy for making this work I would appreciate it.
Im trying to add video reviews to my new site and while I can do it half assed Im waiting till I understand how better.

I don't quite understand how you're getting a reflection off the iPhone itself when the camera is mounted on the back without a flash source or light source that could be causing any kind of light to be pointed at the lense.
If of course you are refering to another light source slowing the camera down, maybe from a flash light/torch or screen from a phone or computer then this is obviously totally different.

In order for the iPhone to produce video using 3rd party applications it can only do so at a frame rate of 18fps (I might be incorrect there) This is of course rather a slow frame rate at anyones standards and any light source can lead to this being slowed down even more. In dark places (such as in the dark lol) there is less for the camera to actually process in terms of light and reflections which makes the footage run far smoother but at the cost of the added noise grain due to the lack of light.
Fact is, the iPhone isn't a video camera and sure as hell wasn't intended to be. If you really need a better way of filming things buy a stand alone video camera. Hell, you can pick up a pocket sized 720p HD camera for $100 now.

He/she is not video-recording with the iPhone. He/she is video-recording the iPhone itself using another recording device.

That is correct, sorry I am looking for better ways to get a Recording from another device!

You could try a polarizing filter if you can get hold of one.
I know I've had problems with recording devices with highly backlit LCD screens with cameras of low quality. Ever since I got a new video camera I can easily increase the light in the room and wait for the light balance on the device screen itself to compensate for the high exposure and record fine.

What kind of camera? I tried using a Fuji 8GB camera and a Panasonic Video Recorder both worked half assed.

I know some of you know the answer out there I see it on Youtube alot, just trying to figure this one out.. Whats the secret sauce?
