My new 20" iMac arrived this past weekend. As such I got the pleasure of experiencing Mac OS X for the first time, and it's awesome!

Would you recommend any best practices for using a Mac? I know what do do and what not to do in Windows. I know all the annoying settings I like to change when using Windows for the first time. But I know nothing about OS X. I've glanced at each item in system preferences just to know what is there, but beyond that do you think there is anything a person should do when using the OS for the first time?

Thanks

How does this compare to main menu?

Not sure, as I have never used main menu. Looks like it does the same basic functions, although main menu appears in your toolbar at the top of the screen. I'll download it when I get home and give it a looksy.
