You want to remember that not all RAM is created equal. Cheap RAM is everywhere, but quality RAM is hard to find. I suggest:

crucial http://crucial.com

or

viking http://www.vikingcomponents.com/

It's not the cheapest RAM, but nothing is more frustrating than cheap, bad RAM. Good luck...

You might also want to check out eBay. I know it can be a bit risky, but it can be worth it. I managed to pick up a brand new 512 stick for my PB for only $AU90. Just check the seller's feedback and ratings and you should be fine.

I second datamem.com. I bought 1 gb ram the other day and put it in yesterday. Everything's running great and it only cost me $104.00 plus $7.00 s&h. I don't know why yours should cost more but maybe 12" pb's just do for some reason. Anyway they guarantee their products, plus guarantee they will fit in your new PB. Awesome!
