What is the best price anyone has purchased the Dell 24" Ultrasharp for? What coupons did you use?

I also noticed that they have an updated version of the monitor but it doesn't seem to have any different specs other than appearance.

Just keep an eye out for coupons at sites like xpbargains or slickdeals... I think the lowest that I've seen them (the 2405, not the 2407) were ~$670ish (maybe I was dreaming though ;)). Most coupons that I've seen for the 2405's brought the price down to the $720-50 range, however.

What is wrong with Dell sales?

So I had some trouble purchasing this monitor from Dell. The price went back up to $949 which is the same price as the new model. For several days the price was $759. The website said to call for current pricing for about two hours and then switched. I called and was told by one representative that the monitor was no longer in stock. I called back and was told that the monitor was in stock and after showing them that the website states that the sale was through Wednesday they offered it to me for $759 again. I asked them about my $35 off coupon and they put me on hold for 15 minutes and disconnected me. Today I attempted to speak to a sales rep through their chat feature. He told me that they were in stock and by the end of the conversation told me that the monitor was no longer available online. I then called a salesperson at a local kiosk and was told the monitor was in stock but he couldn't get it to me for the discounted price. I don't know what else I can do.

I'm starting to think I should just get a new one through ebay.

stuuke-- I also had a few problems ordering one. I had one in the cart for $759 then when I went to check out it said that the item was no longer available. I looked around on the site and the monitor was nowhere to be found. I saw a bunch in the outlet so I figured they just moved them there and placed an order for one of those. Then, when my shipping notification was emailed it said that I had ordered a refurb. I checked back on the site and now the monitors are offered new again at $949. What's the deal? Price for the screen size was my deciding factor between buying the Dell 24" and an Apple 20". Now that I'm receiving a used 24" the equation may have changed a bit. Would you still keep the 24" even though it's a refurb?

Also, even though it was shipped yesterday a monitor arrived at my door today...a 17" refurb with an invoice to someone on the other side of the country. After speaking with Dell's support for the past 25 minutes, I'm wondering if my purchase was wise after all. My dealings with Apple support have always been top notch...

Every person I have dealt with at Dell has been completely unwilling or unable to help. Check out http://www.apparelandtech.com. They have the monitor for less and have a great approval rating through pricegrabber. I sent them an email and they called me back immediately. I'm just debating as to whether I should wait for the latest model to drop in price or grab this one.

Uuuuhhhhgggg! 30 more minutes on the phone with no resolution. I've heard everything from you've already received your monitor to it's still on schedule. I also love the mysterious confirmation emails I'm supposedly getting after each call...none of them have shown up yet. I should have shined the extra four inches of screen for an Apple display
