Best remote desktop app?

What's the best one in terms of ease of use and most features? This includes apps from Cydia as well...

I use Jaadu VNC. Pricey but very very good and great support/setup guide via their website.
 
I use winadmin, works great and is much easier to use IMO. Just have a VPN connection and enter the machine you're connecting back into's IP and your done and you can have multiple remote connections. BTW I've got Jaadu also but winadmin was the winner in my book.
 
Is winadmin just for windows? Because I'm looking for something to work with mac...

It's expensive and thats why i still haven't grabbed it but logmein is really good.

they run on mac/pc and now iphone, lets you log into your computer remotely from anywhere for free, but the iphone app is like 29 bucks or something
 
Logmein, very expensive, but by FAR the easiest to setup/use. Didn't notice any lag over 3G either, allows multiple desktop control, and multiple computer access.
 
I'll add another vote for logmein. I use all their free desktop clients for my macs and PCs. The iphone app is the only money they've gotten from me. It's a great service that gets around all the hassles of firewalls and IP addresses. It's so nice to be able to remote into my Mom's PC and resolve her problems while waiting for a movie to start or something.
 
If I wanted to help my mom on her computer, what would she have to do to let me on her computer...? Is there any setup involved on her end?

Go to the website, install the free thing, its a app that runs nearly hidden in the background. It doesn't require any setup, IE: No finding IP addresses..ect.. It's as easy as going to a website.
 
I have both logmein and Jaadu VNC, and my vote goes to Jaadu VNC/RDP. They did an amazing job on that app and it really is worth the price IMO. Very smooth, works on high resolutions without issues, and the way it shows what you're typing locally as well as remotely is awesome!

But for ease of setup and use, logmein wins. I just don't like the memory issues logmein has, and if you have a high res display that causes more problems.

+2 It is a bit of a task to setup and pricy, but my first choice...
 
Found this via search - anyone using one of these for logging into a Win 2003 server? And if so, can you zoom on the desktop?
 
LogMeIn is by far the best and easiest solution for remote desktop control. They have a free version (and it's not a trial, either) which actually provides quite a bit of options. Works for both Macs and PCs.

In addition, they've got an iPhone version of the app which works incredibly! Granted it's $30, but for me -- totally worth it.

sorry to dig this thread up.

i'm currently researching a good mac, remote help desk, type of software.

has anyone tried this? if so, how is it compared to the ones listed here?

Even through this thread is a little old...

Team Viewer is free. There's an app that you need to download that will enable your computer to be remotely controlled. They make it for Mac, PC and iPhone.

I use it all the time to control my at home iMac from my iPhone. Works great.
 
I agree that TeamViewer is FREE and good...

However, I have yet to find a realy good RDP client. I use Mocha Remote Desktop Lite for once in a while RDP connection. It's basic but free.
 
My home network runs RealVNC, so it was a no brainer for me for my iphone/ipad to just pick up RealVNC viewer, no real setup besides entering my IP addresss, very smooth over wifi, and wasnt too bad over 3G. I think it was $10
 
I second WYSE, it's quite good.
Some others that work well: WinAdmin(reasonably priced and universal for iPhone and iPad) and Teamviewer(FREE! and universal also)
