Haven’t sold one in a bit but mainly used Swappa in the past. Listed my 2020 SE yesterday on there but the site doesn’t seem to get the views it used to.

Any others besides the obvious eBay, local listings, and places like gazelle?

I like using Swappa - sold a few and bought a few in the past. I am planning to sell my original SE once I get a 12 mini.

I have also used eBay, and it was ok. From my experience (I just sold my old 2014 MBP on eBay), Apple products seem to get a lot of views from international buyers. I do not ship stuff outside of the US (especially now) just to avoid possible issues related to shipping, I would suggest you include that language in item description.

Try Facebook marketplace. The fact your can screen buyers, look at their friends, and see if they are someone you want to do business with helps tremendously when it comes to legitimate sales. I’ve been buying and selling there for the past few months and made money selling gardening rocks (surprised people buy them).

Second vote for Facebook Marketplace. I bought a second hand Apple Watch for my partner and as a buyer you can safely pick up and make sure it's as expected (and more importantly not Activation locked). As a seller, you have more piece of mind when dealing face to face with your buyer (remember to social distance ;) ) and they can pay cash or bank transfer on the spot with a much lesser risk of being scammed.

Funny enough I have the fb account for selling and I don't have friends or anything (I don't have fb account). I actually have my German Shepard as my profile pic lol.

I still used proper safety checks for high priced items, but for the most part I felt pretty safe to out a face to the buyer or seller.

Its amazing how safe people felt, they often paid in advance via Venmo and I also dropped off items in people's yard ($80 sunglasses) after they paid a few hours in advance to hold the item. I would have never received advance payment on Craigslist or offerup.

Swappa has worked well for me in the past. There's always a chance things could go wrong in any marketplace but if you do your homework document everything with pictures you can minimize issues. Of course, selling to somebody you know or through friends is best.
