Hi,
Can you tell me the best security software which shields from virus, malware, spyware and other threats, avoids suspicious download and website as well as protects you from online identity? Is there any discount or promo offer on the software?
Directly from the Apple website:
"Malware and viruses aren’t confined to desktops anymore. They can infect mobile devices, too. Which is why Apple takes security seriously when it comes to iOS. For starters, hardware and firmware features are designed to protect against malware and viruses, while iOS features help to secure your personal information. iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan have built-in support for two-factor authentication which, when enrolled, prompts you for a verification code when you sign in from a new browser or on a new device. This code is automatically displayed on your other Apple devices or sent to your phone, so you can quickly gain access to your account, while unauthorized users are kept out. Touch ID lets you use your fingerprint as a passcode, preventing unauthorized access to your device. When you use a passcode, it automatically encrypts and protects information like your email, calendar events, contacts, reminders, notes, messages, and third-party apps."
There are other things that are incorporated into iOS that protect against malware. It's built on the foundation of UNIX security and third-party apps downloaded from the AppStore are reviewed by Apple before being made available on the AppStore. While it's a great feature, it isn't perfect. You also have to use good judgement. If you see an app that promises to deliver something too good to be true, then chances are it's not real and is masquerading as a malicious app that may have slipped past Apple's Review Process. Be wary of websites that redirect you to the AppStore or even websites that ask you to install a profile, a certificate that allows you to install an app from outside of the AppStore.
Privacy features are also built into iOS:
"iOS is designed to put your privacy first. If an app wants your location information or data from Calendar, Contacts, Reminders, or Photos, it needs your permission first. And you have complete control of how Health and HomeKit use your data. Conversations over iMessage and FaceTime are encrypted, including predictive text — so no one but you and the person you’re talking to can see or read what’s being said. And features built into Safari give you the ability to browse privately, block cookies, and prevent websites from tracking you."
Lastly, if you install a third-party keyboards and give it full access then anything you type with that keyboard is potentially available to the developer. This is typically used by the developer to return search results for images such as GIFs or documents within the keyboard or diagnostic data to improve the stability of the keyboard.
