I'm using a late 2009 Mac Mini base model (2.26 and 2GB) and the 2009 Hybrid with EyeTV 3.3. My live TV buffer is on my Seagate FW800 external drive. Watching a Samsung 1080P HDTV connected via the mini DVI->DVI->HDMI, but I've got the mini only using the 720P Display setting. The 1080P display setting seems to make the video look worse and Safari and other text too small too read.
The problem I'm having is watching live sports and figuring out the best settings for de-interlacing. Using "Progressive Scan" works great on everything but Live Sports. The fast motion is awful to watch so I end up using the "Always" setting, which helps quite a bit, though still not perfect. Anybody got any suggestions for better sport viewing?
