I have a Pioneer BDR-209DBK BluRay/DVD player/burner I purchased in 2013 to use as an internal optical drive for my MacPro 5,1. I used it for many years but finally had to retire the MacPro this year. I purchased an external enclosure to use it with my MacMini M1.

What is the best software to be able to play and burn DVDs/Blurays with the Mac Mini running Sequoia? Do I need one or two apps?

Thanks.

I've just got an external DVD/BR burner and have got lost in the choices, but use it so rarely that I didn't
want a sub or pay a big price to purchase. So I ended up with:

1. Burn (very basic UI)
2. Free Mac Blu-ray Player

Both are free and seem to do the job (for me).

ps also have Handbrake and VLC
