Best Solitaire App?

Ok, my wife is a Solitaire nut!

There's like 3428048392043 Solitaire apps out there. What do you recommend? Price is no consideration. I'll pay $20 for a good Solitaire.

Solitaire XL is by far the best one for OS X. It's also free.

I can recommend Solitaire City.

It's the lite version and imo it's pretty great for a lite version.

I agree Soliatire City is excellent. A very well defined set of games with tutorials and many game options.

I used to play this on my WM6.0 PDA and was delighted to that it was available on the Iphone.

I play it every night.

Solebon Solitaire is awesome. There's like 20 different games including regular old 1 and 3 card deal solitaire (Klondike if you will).

I have the Mondo Solitaire. It's pretty nice, very clean layout. Also has over 100 kinds of solitaire card games.

Bonus! On sale for 99¢ right now too! Was $9.99 originally. I picked it up at the sale price myself last week.

Another vote for Mondo.

It has just about every game you've ever (and never) heard of and is reasonably slick. It's improved over v1.0.

I bought it at full price and it's worth it. At the current sale price it's a bargain.

AcidSolitaire Collection cannot be beat. Sure, it only has three games, but is has the best gameplay. The interface is designed to make games quick. My fastest time of Klondike Deal One is under 90 seconds.


D'oh! I was thinking this was for the iPhone, (although I'm pretty sure they make a Mac version).

My vote for best OS X Solitaire game is Kitty Spangles Solitaire.

I bought Soleban, Mondo, Plantinum (Gameloft) and tried Solitaire City lite version. I have to say I like Plantinum for having Japanese rules and other languages but by far my vote goes to Mondo for intelligent move system and most importantly how easy it is to sort through the 100 different games and find ones related to others. Now if Mondo goes back up to $10...hmmmm not sure hope it goes to $5 or something along that line.

I got mondo for 99 cents, and was sorely disappointed. It's slow, clunky and the controls are horrible. Sometimes you can't select all the cards. I can't figure out how to move an entire pile of cards in Spider. Took me a few tries to finally get the clipping thing, but that doesn't move the entire pile.

The fact that I can't figure it out, tells you a whole lot about the game's suckiness.

I'm so glad I didn't waste $9.99 on it. I still feel like I wasted money on it, and it was only $0.99!

I vote for Solitaire City (the lite version is great, I'm contemplating buying the deluxe version. The controls and animations in this one is the best of the bunch) and Solebon (Sol Free is great, and the controls are clear and easy, but it's sometimes hard to select a specific card in a pile to move a partial pile, and there's no landscape mode (I think, at least there aren't any in Sol Free)).

I had missed the fact that Mondo Solitaire is on sale for 99 cents, so I'm happy I read this thread. I've been mostly satisfied with Solebon Solitaire, but I downloaded Mondo a few minutes ago. Based on playing one game of Klondike, I prefer it to Solebon. It allows you a couple of ways to move cards, including dragging them, which is not an option in Solebon. I have no idea how many of the huge number of games I will ever play, but the interface, the options for control, and the current price make this my top choice. (I've also tried several free Solitaire apps - this is well worth a buck.)
