I´ve a pair of 250GB Samsung 840 on the way, to replace my Intel SSD´s.
Currently I use 32Kb strip size, but I´m not sure this is the best for common use.
Any advice?
I intend to to a clean install of OS X....

The larger the files, the larger the block size. Figure out what the most common file size is and set accordingly.

No, for a boot and OS X drive you want 16k. It's about 1.8 times faster than using 32k. If there were an 8k option I would recommend that over 16k as well. Probably the sweet spot would be 10 or 12k from the results of my extensive testing with this. Now, as a data storage and project drive just the opposite advice applies and I personally wish there were a 512k option for that - alas there is none.

Sweet, you´re the man. Maybe, that´s the reason, why I get so slow speeds on my Tempo Pro card....?
Here´s the thread I started with that subject.

Be careful though. BlackMagic Speed Test tests the drive for video performance which is large file sequential I/O. It's the opposite test you wanna look at for OS and boot performance.

EDIT:
Well, opposite isn't the right word but it's on the other end of the spectrum.

Well, I didn´t know that. Just thought Black Magic were the speedtest to run on OS X. Doesn´t seem to be other possibilities. ATTO for OS X would be nice...
I´ll give the 16Kb a shot when I reinstall, thanks.

There's actually quite a few different drive speed tests out there. Some are free and yet others are commercial wares. Get on one of those Mac download sites and search for "drive speed test" or something like that. You should get 8 or 10 relative results. One of my favorites is SpeedTools's QuickBench!
