Best Tech Shows Online

Ever since switching to Apple recently, I've become rather obsessed with tech. I now watch Engadget's monthly show and the weekly Tezkilla show. Are there any other tech shows online that are worth watching?

Tech Shows? Well, NCIX does video reviews and other stuff. You can check them out on Youtube.

Also, you can check out Wired.com, not video 100%, but it's nice to read them time to time.

I think AnandTech does some videos from time to time. Their reviews and tech articles are awesome and well informed.

I'm looking specifically for shows. It's fun to have them running on one side of the screen as I'm working.

I'm familiar with ATech and Wired. I'll look up NCIX though.

I think Leo Laporte has made most of the shows on his TWiT network available as video podcasts now. Check out his site for shows you may be interested in. I'm pretty sure at least the original TWiT and Macbreak Weekly are available video podcasts. He also has live feeds from the studio.

I think Leo Laporte has made most of the shows on his TWiT network available as video podcasts now. Check out his site for shows you may be interested in. I'm pretty sure at least the original TWiT and Macbreak Weekly are available video podcasts.

I actually stumbled upon Twit several weeks ago. When I clicked on the "Play Video" button, nothing launched, so I didn't bother any further. Since you brought it up, I tried again. Nothing happened. So I just went ahead and clicked on the download option. Video indeed! I skimmed the vid for a few seconds just to see what the visuals are like. Certainly can't compete with Engadget or Tekzilla in production value, but I'll give it a watch nonetheless. Thanks.

No, TWiT won't compete with the other online studios. For years, Leo has been doing all his shows as audio only. He only recently started doing the live feed, and then slowly offering video. He's been building it slowly with his own money. He has no venture capital, loans, etc, so it takes a while to build it one piece at a time. I actually prefer his way. Most of the TWiT shows feel more like friends sitting around discussing things rather than a slickly produced TV spot.

Twit is the best I think, I've watched leo and those guys for years, Video makes it even better

So it's been a few weeks since steve2112's MacBreak Weekly recommendation. Subscribed to the video version, watched about 5 episodes so far and I've been rather enjoying it. The presentation aesthetic, the personalities, the nature of the discussions all lend to how profoundly geeky it is, the sort of thing I would have mocked for existing not too long ago. But after switching to Mac quite recently and the sudden interest in tech and computing that followed, I'm full-on nerd now. I just need a WOW account to complete the transformation.

I now look forward to the weekly episode download in iTunes, launching the video, placing it off to the side of my MBP's 1680x1050 screen, while surfing around in Firefox on the opposing side and feeling like there's some friends over rattling on about all these things I have a newfound passion for. Thanks again, steve.

And Merlin Mann's my favorite of the bunch.

I'm always happy to convert a new listener/viewer to the empire of Leo. 'm glad you are enjoying it. I loved watching Leo when he was on TechTV, missed him a bit, and was really happy to find TWiT. You may also want to check out some of his other shows. They are adding new stuff all the time. They are adding an iPad show, and some kind of tech news show with Tom Merritt. It looks like TWiT is turning into a big-time network.

Merlin is pretty entertaining, but he can be a bit whiny for my tastes sometimes. I really like Andy and Alex.

I did check the general tech one, This Week in Tech, which I'd assume is the flagship show and where the TWIT acronym comes from. I don't know if I'll be watching it regularly. With MacBreak and the several other tech shows I've accumulated since, I got enough for now. Though as I say that, I've just downloaded a recent episode of it.
