Maybe not really subject of this sub-forum but... :)

I would like to fix quite tiny scratch on Sony A7R body’s black plastic (around 5mm long, 1mm wide). Black color came off, and white is a bit visible. Not a big deal but anyway.

I thought of using a black permanent marker but remembered reading somewhere that those can degrade plastic ocer time (maybe). At least solvent based...?

What simple tool I could use? A non-solvent based marker? Are all Sharpie markers like this? Or they can degrade plastic as well?

Any other easy tools to repair small plastic scratches?

Thank’s!

Try the sort of scuff repair stuff they sell for car interiors.

But mostly just use the camera and don't worry about it. They are tools to be used.

Agreed. Many people look at their scars as a badge of honor. You can probably make up a great adventure about how the scratch came to be. Isn't that what we use our cameras for anyway...... Telling stories. :D

Thank you all for the great responses! :)
I’ll probably try to ‘forget’ that the scratch is there and just use the camera.

If some useful tool will fall into my sight, and I still want to fix it, maybe I’ll try it.

Sounds like a fine plan. My X-Pro2 has a lovely scratch on the back of it... broke my heart the day the rivet on my jeans caused it but now after a few months, meh.. whatever...
