I'm looking at picking up a couple of new magazine subscriptions. Right now I'm eyeing Advanced Photoshop and Computer Arts. I've done tutorials out of both and learned a ton.

Of course, both are UK mags and will cost a fortune here in the US. Anyone else have any good choices? Maybe US based mags that are a little cheaper. THe other two will cost something like $150 for the year.

Layers Magazine and all of the Scott Kelby series (Photoshop User Magazine, Illustrator Techniques Newsletter, etc...) could be a good start. I dont get any of them, but have heard great stuff from freinds.

Thanks guys. Are these basic how-to's or tutorials on using photoshop in general?

I guess I should be more specific. The thing that I like about AP and CA is that they include tutorials from prominent artists, etc showing their techniques. I'm already very familiar with the program, just looking to learn those advanced techniques, etc.

I'll look into the Kelby series though.

I would consider Before & After magazine (www.bamagazine.com). Subscriptions are available in Print of PDF. Try their free downloads--you'll love 'em.

Thanks, but that doesn't quite look like what I'm looking for. I guess you have to be familiar with AP and CA to understand what I'm looking for. Or more realistically, I guess i'm just gonna end up shelling out for those two.
