Best Under-rated apps on the iPhone

Hey everyone. So, I don't know about you, but I'm a bit tired of "what are your favorite apps" threads popping up every week only to have people give the exact same answers every time. They all say Pandora, Facebook, Now Playing, Sportacular, Yelp, and Skype. We know those are good apps, but what about the other ~50,000? They don't have representation in these threads, and that's what this thread is for.

So, what are your favorite iPhone apps that aren't super-popular yet? The ones you like to use, think are good, but are not on everyone's list of top 10 apps?

I'll start.

-SplashID (great password manager with wireless syncing to desktop)

-Checkbook (good for multiple checking accounts, balances, reconciling)

-Portfolio Live (amazing portfolio management app. You tell it what stocks you have, how much you bought, and for what price and it calculates your average cost basis, day gain/loss, total gain/loss. Great customer service as well.)

-Email 'n Walk (ever had to type an email while you're walking somewhere and don't want to run into something ahead of you? This app is for you. Brings up a transparent box for you to edit text in. The whole background is a live feed from the iPhone's camera so you can see what's below/in front of you while you're looking at the screen!)

-Gratuitious (tip calculator that is a joy to use. It's a simple task and this app does it brilliantly. Tell it how many people and it rounds to the nearest whole number)

Can you count Zombieville in this? It was on the app store top 10 for like 2 weeks, then went away. Its the funnest game on the iphone to be, it doesnt get old. Ive been playing it for a good 5 months.
 
Instapaper Pro - Read articles offline later

iSaveWeb - Saves entire webpage for offline reading.

AlarmTunes - inexpensive alarm app that wakes me up to my own tunes.

Bodybook - a fast and easy to use workout log that includes graphs and doesn't include exercise how-tos. I don't need to learn how to do a push up. Perfect for a bodyweight exerciser like myself.

TapExpense - I don't use it actually, I'm waiting on support for multiple accounts (coming in an update sometime), but it's got a UI that is simple and efficient.

Wisdom Japanese-English dictionary - definitely the best E-J dictionary out there now.

Oxford Deluxe - I teach English, this is helpful for my advanced classes, as well as being great for reading more difficult books.

JotNot - easier than typing the info in or carrying around loose papers, this takes snapshots of papers and optimizes them for the iPhone screen (not perfect, but works well enough most of the time).

Readdledocs - easily download docs from my email or the Internet.

Uniwar - awesome online turnbased strategy game (as long as one stays with maps that a race has a chance on).

Galcon - fastpaced online space wars. Awesome as well!
 
Some good apps there. No one else has some applications that aren't super popular and everyone knows about? There HAS to be a lot of apps that are quality but just haven't gotten the huge recognition yet.

I love the idea of this thread. I'm really looking forward to trying out 1Password and SplashID.

PocketLint - Account balance tracking. Supports up to eight accounts and has an option for automatic transactions.

Another vote for 1Password here too. Especially since the last couple updates. Get it now before they bump the price!

Another vote for SplashID!

Earthcomber is great. I often find myself in an unknown area and wondering if there is a Starbucks around, Target, bookstore, particular restaurant, etc. This app will tell me.

Rowmote is fabulous if you use Keynote/ Powerpoint presentations

Amazon Kindle

Save Benjis - The app still needs some work, but its nice to be able to quickly compare prices while standing in the middle of a store
 
Appigo's Todo app. Syncs with Toodledo on the web and has way more features than Toodledo's own app. Also has a numerical badge icon that shows you how many due or upcoming tasks you've got. Though homefully with the new Push notification service from Apple, the vendor will update to have live badge updates. That would be nice.

Also from same company is Notebook, a note pad type app with category organization, multiple books, keyboard rotation support and will sync with Toodledo as well. You can also send a note to Todo to make a new task or you can share a note via email.

These are the only two non-Apple apps that are on my main app screen.
 
Air Mouse (I also use RowMote but I think Air Mouse may be more superior).

Spell Check (this is something I think I use nearly daily.
 
iSpeak Spanish and other languages (bi-directional translator and says the phrase)

UpNext (3d version of Google Maps of NYC with transit lines and with the names of the businesses as well)

Punk Justice (nice little fighting game for $ .99)
 
Crazy Machines. i never heard anything about this and stumbled upon in while going through the app store. i downloaded this morning and played it all day. if you like puzzle type games like enigmo then you should definitely get this. the only thing i don't like is there are only 50 levels but it will keep you hooked until you beat it and it has a level creator.

This looks like a great game. I'll have to think about it (not because of the money, but because of its time-wasting ability).

I really want to get this but want to wait until their 3.0 version with Push (i'm afraid they're going to charge 2.0 users to upgrade and the 2.0 version has some bugs because it's not iPhone 3.0 tested). Looks like a great application.

Question though: It seems to me that it takes so long to input such detailed information. Wouldn't you be more productive just doing your stuff instead of going into such depth and trouble? Also, how do you separate what to put in your calendar and tasks? If I have an exam on Friday (for example), I'll put that in my calendar. And then, if I have to study wednesday or thursday I'll put "study for exam" in my alarm during the hours I want to study. Would you use todo for this?
 
high speed chase (i don't know why i like it so much.... it grew on me)
quiz genius (though trivial pursuit is better)
moron test

i use todo for repetitive stuff, like paying installments... for the rest i prefer calendar and making a list in notes app

I dont have to use Itunes anymore

I can just upload music to imeem.com and pplay it in the app

or play music from there site
