Agree with i.TV- Can get movie times from local theaters and purchase tickets right in app.

Agree with Mobilefiles if you have Mobile Me- Easy syncing and accessing files mobile.

Would add Remember The Milk to that- Very awesome To do app.

I use all three daily. Any weather app (free) that shows weekly reports is awesome and useful as well.

1 more vote for evernote as well.

Excellent choices.

For me, add iXspenseIt (budgetting app), The Weather Channel (until ads shrink a bit, they totally overhaul the radar, and add more hours to hourly weather), Google Mobile App, Melodis Dialer (voice dialing), mBoxMail (for those who have a hotmail account), iStorage (file editing/downloading/viewing/playing/emailing), and Tap Forms (great app for organizing all your personal information).

Air Sharing - so your iPhone could act as a USB storage on wifi
Now Playing - for movies and to purchase tickets, it's more accurate too
i.Tv - like they said, for channels
Beejive - if you're used to IMs, this is the only one you want to get
vLingo - so far this voice dialer is well accurate to my voice
Pandora - best internet radio
Fstream - another source for URL radio streams
Remote & Mediamote - I use both to control my iTunes & Windows Media Center (yeah I know, no Mac here yet)
ChessWithFriends - if you like Chess, you could check out this app. It's like playing Chess as if you're checking email :p
USA Today - local news within the US
iSports - best Sports app so far
Shazam - to identify music
WiFinder - if you're in a public place, this app will hook you up to some free unsecured wifi hot spots if there are within your area

1. App Sniper (99c) - helps you get apps that go on sale. Pays for it self in the end!

2. Remote free- control itunes remotely be your own dj have fun!

3. Facebook-- free great way to keep in contact on the go. Really beautiful to use, upload photos on the go as well!

4. Amazon --free --besides easy shopping, its a great way to research products on the go, finding reviews etc!

5. AOL Radio or Pandora -I use them both, if you hear a song you can tag it and purchase it from itunes all on your iphone!

There are some great games as well, Word Warp and Scramboni as well as scrabble are pretty great word games.

While I would much rather have all of it's functions come natively, it does a good job where Apple slacked off. It does what it claims to do, although I admit, I have no tried all it's functions yet. I was most attracted to it's ability to download files off the internet, which it can do. Getting files off of the program and onto your desktop is really easy. I don't think I have tried transferring files from desktop to iPhone yet. All in all, it seems like most of these files apps are one-trick ponies and I needed something a little more than just file storage.

i.TV. (TV and Movie Listings.)

Thanks for the tip! I didn't realize i.TV did movie listings too! (I gotta update my apps!)

With so many apps, I predict the next stage will be consolidation. Why have one app for weather, one for movies, one for TV, one for news, etc. Just one big app with all of the above, so you can put it on your home screen and save the other pages for games, etc.!

Best calculator and converter

in fact it combines both: converting while entering math expression.
less units than others, but well designed:

CalcConv

Anyway, my favorite app ever is Google Earth.

I see someone posted WiFinder, I have seen about 3 or 4 other apps for WiFi in the store including the AT&T one.

Which one works best for overall WiFi finding spots?

USED Daily/Weekly:

Evernote...Todo's, Clip's from webpages, Medical Info, College Notes/Study Guide...Consolidates upto 3 apps
Pandora...Best radio app for my nightly walks
Bill Minder...Haven't been late on a bill yet
mSecure...Helps me remember the tons of passwords/usernames
Byline...RSS Feeds
iTV...Movies, Tickets and TV Channels...consolidates two apps
Shazam...Keeps me sane when I can't remember that one song and then prevents it from playing over and over and over in my head...lol
Grouper...once active the app stays in the background (last page) and sorts all of my contacts into groups

I have others...some are beta tests, some are experiments to see how they work. Games but most are boring and I very seldom use the 12 I have on my game screen. Total of 60 apps to include the 19 that came with the iPhone
