Anyone using the Blackmagic Design DeckLink Mini Recorder 4K inside their Mac Pro (2019)? Does the fan make perceivable noise? What other/ better alternatives to consider?

I use Avermedia 4k Windows 10 and Avermedia ultra in Mac OS X Catalina. Without problems.

Can't you just use this?
I'm looking for what resolution it records in but haven't found out. So it might not capture 4k..
Do you need a capture card anyway? Can't you use something like Screenium 3 software to screen record a game play?

How to record the screen on your Mac
You can make a video recording of the entire screen or just a selected portion of it.
Use Shift-Command-5
If you're using macOS Mojave or later, press Shift-Command (⌘)-5 on your keyboard to see onscreen controls for recording the entire screen, recording a selected portion of the screen, or capturing a still image of your screen. You can also record the screen with QuickTime Player
