For now I have taken the "cheap" route with the iTalk (not the premium for $4.99) and free download for my PC to transfer the files from the iPod touch. What is the experience of those who have been recording using several of the "recorder" apps that are available? Thanks.

Note2Self [App Store] is pretty polished in this field. Only 59p/99c too.

- Polished interface
- Records/Saves recordings
- Mass delete/e-mail recordings

Note: Currently updating to future versions of the app deletes all existing recordings.
The developer states a fix is on the way.

Soooo, not a lot of response here! Should I then assume that iTalk is as good as any app out there and upgrade to the "premium" version? What say ye?

Thanks for the (2) recommendations. Has anyone else used some of the other products (there are a lot of them out there, free and paid)? I would really like to get a broader opinion before shelling out the dough. Also, with the new Apple earphones/mic coming out it is too soon to ask how these work with the iPod touch and with which voice recorder? Hope someone can give some information.

I was using Speak Easy with the desk top software and it worked fine until the company updated the App on the iPhone. It no longer would sync with the desk top software so I sen 3 emails to company for assistance and recieved to cursory replies then nothing else when I told them their suggestions did not work. Their support just gave up and stopped so I deleted it because it would not sync and poooooor customer support.

I have since been using Recorder without problem and backup to my PC with the WiFi option.

I tried reQall but it did not stay on long (don't remember why) and it has 2.5 rating in store right now so validates whatever reason I stopped using.

Quickvoice was another tried but removed, did not have sync capability at the time but does now. Still only has a 3 star rating.

Lastly...the reason you are not getting many responses is because its a question that has been discussed before. Do an advance "Voice Recorder" title search. Here is one https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/537764/

Thanks, I appreciate the referral and the advice. While the thread says only for iPhone I assume with the new Apple earphone/mic product just released that they will also work with iPod touch 2G. Hope this will end my search. Take care.
