The BBC is streaming some of the group games but only to UK residents only... it all comes down to broadcasting rights for the particular territory so it might be useful to check out which networks are broadcasting which games and check their websites.

I thnk there was some mention of who was covering what in the US in annother thread but I can't vouch for that info but here it is anyway:

naw, it rarely feels right to root too much for the americans in any international sporting event. it is nice for these quaint little countries like holland or england to get their time in the limelite.

i am just a pretentious american. i only call soccer football for one month every 4 years, but that still might make me pretentious.

i was living in berlin at the time of the last world cup, and that was one of the most enjoyable months i have ever had. waking up, going to the cafes for breakfast, milchkaffee, and fussball, priceless.

as for the other link, it looks like the only *completely legal* broadcasts here will be whatever ABC and ESPN decide to grant us, after they screw it up.

i hope an online work around will be found.

Hmmm, Canada is showing every game... I thought it would be the same down south. Do you get TSN or Rogers Sportsnet?

Well, Americans call it football when we are talking to someone who won't confuse what we are talking about. Just like the British had specify which Indians they were talking about when they spoke to Americans. That problem was solved by calling American Indians "Native Americans", the other problem was solved by calling the game we play less of "soccer". And, if you are American, there is only so long that you can support your own country before you have to shift your support.

To return to the OP's question. The best way to watch the world cup is on TV. If you are American, that means cable TV. To see all of the games you either need to get the sports channels or watch in Spanish.
