whats the best way to keep my Mac Pro from getting all dusty and stuff inside? it's in a pretty clean room but i opened it up and it's full of dust inside..

any tips on cleaning it?

Thanks

Many people use compressed canned air to blow away the dust. Make sure it's not connected to power first though. Also make sure that you hold the can some distance away from whatever you're blowing on, else it might destroy some electronics.

I have some concern about this also. Since the processors and their massive hear sinks are located within a sealed chanber, I am concerned that dust will accumulate on the fins of the heat sink and the motherboard.

On my PCs its easy to clean out the dust inside the case, on my Mac it does not seem to be as easy. Any one have any thoughts on how to clean out that area?

The best way? Hm, I guess that would be keep it in a hyperbaric room and put on a disposable clean suit every time you sit down to use it. Yeah, that's the best way! ;)

i was actually thinking of thoese sweeper things that grabs all the dust but thought hey it works via static haha must not be good with computer parts =|

I've read about people using fabric softener dryer sheets for their Power Mac, which are disposed of after being covered in dust; like a filter. This would probably work on a Mac Pro as well, but it will also make it look like crap, if you care about that sorta thing.

i did this with my old G5, and helped a bit. the thing is, it was relatively easier to put the dryer sheet inside of G5 to keep it looking nice from outside; for MP, basically impossible (PITA to take fan unit off).
