I have no problem hearing audio through airpods and airpods pro but universally have issue with people
hearing my voice during phone calls whether I am on airpods or airpods pro. I'm thinking maybe the mic
port is clogged and after a thorough cleaning of the device(including using brushes and liquid) I still have issues.
I do not have this issue within the first months of buying new airpod.

How do you clean mic port on your airpods?

Do you have the same problem? This doesn't happen on new airpods? I am on iPhone 15 pro max and have had this problem
over the years. the solution: buy a new one. i have not had this issue with airpods max which I have had for about 2 years.
i do not want to use it all the time just to answer the phone though.

I bought a few of these from AliExpress for like $2-3 each. I also sometimes use blu-tack to clear any dust/gunk out of the grills.

Try blutak or whatever it’s called in your country. I use it to clean all vents on my AirPods every once in a while.

You just press it into the grills & it magically collects all the dust in there without getting stuck in there itself. Then just use a new side of the Blutak on your next press.

It’s on the rear silver section on the base of each pod. Very small horizontal slit.
