I would use a microfiber cloth and very little bit of DI water. Brush lightly. No circular motion. No more than 1 or 2 light wipes at a time. The coatings on the display are very soft.

I would definitely not use material from a lab since that is more focused on cleaning, quick pickup, and disinfecting than being gentle.

Yeah, that's a good point as it is a microbiology lab!

I'll see if I can find a microfibre cloth kicking around at home.

I'll probably stick to water only as well. A lot of it is grease form me and pointing (shouting during meetings!!!!!) as I use it for 10h straight most days.

Don't touch your screen. Macs don't have touch screens so all touching does is scratch the screen and cover it with finger prints. Also, be careful if you touch them with gloves. I have seen people in the labs I worked in accidentally get acetone and other solvents on the screen from their gloves and ruin the coatings.

Sorry man. It's how it goes with all screens.

It's already covered with my fingerprints.

Seems like my webcam is acting like a 719p rather than a 720p due to the smudges.

Much better, I have now smeared everything out so it's more evenly distributed than before.

I just must notice it more with dark mode as I didn't have that on my previous machines.
