Hi,
In May I bought myself a refurb CoreDuo Black Macbook from the Apple website. It looked new - probably old stock.
Anyway Going back about 2 months ago it developed a fault where the screen would flicker. So I sent it back to Apple (i have Apple Care). It was sent to an authorised repair centre. It took two weeks to fix and send back to me. They said they had problems replicating the problem, but when they did they fixed it and sent it back to me (inverter I believe).
So I get it back - and it works flawlessly for acouple of weeks. Then last week it started flickering again. When It does flicker, if you turn the brightness down to the lowest setting before the backlight goes off, you can see the flicker quite easily - flickers violently.
So I ring Apple back up and tell them that I am extremely annoyed that it took ages for them to fix the first time, and that they will now want me to send it back in to fix again. I asked why they can't come and fix it onsite. He said thats not something they do really even tho on the website for Applecare it says onsite repairs.
I said I would call back if it continued as I hoped it was a one off fluke, but its not. Is there anything I can do or say to get away with sending it back in/ I need it for work and its a pain being without it.
I mean, what if I send it back again, and it comes back faulty.
I am in the UK btw. Ta
