Best way to dock Macbook Pro? (for cooling)

I currently have my 13" M1 MBP docked vertically closed with the fans at the "top" (Apple logo upside down). My 14" M3 Max 16/40 arrives next week and with all the talk about throttling + fan noise I'm wondering if there is a better way to dock to keep it cool. Should I open the screen? Is there a dock I can buy with additional fans that will keep it from throttling as much?
