Best Way to get Wireless N on a MBP CD

So I have a first gen MBP with the Core Duo. What is the best way to get connectivity to wireless N standard instead of just the plain old B/G?

I've heard rumors of the possibility of using a Desktop N Card or something to that effect?

Any replies would be great!

I read somewhere that you could purchase a macpro wireless card and put it in the MBP CD. But I can't remember where I read it...

Of course, you'll have to completely disassemble your MBP to install it though.

Edit: Apparently its the same card as is in the Mac Pros so you might be able to convince a local Apple Store to sell you the part.

Depends on what you consider local. I think the nearest Apple store is Mall of America, which is oh, ya know about 8 hours drive, not to mention 2 states, and a country away! lol. I'll see what my local reseller can do for me, I'm considering getting a larger HD for my MBP anyways, so this might be the time to try to convince them to stick it in while they've got it pried open anyways!

I believe Faye successfully put a Dell/Atheros Draft N mini-pci card into a CD MBP.

There was a post about it somewhere...

The easiest way but probably most expensive would be to just sell your CD Macbook Pro and buy a new C2D one. Remember that if you do the method above, it's definitely voiding warranty and if you screw it up you can say bye bye to your Macbook Pro.

Taking apart the MacBook Pro is not that hard to do. Just follow the directions from ifixit and take your time. I replaced the Atheros card in my MBP C2D with the dell version. The reason I did that is because the dell card usess the Broadcom chipset which gives me better throughput. With the default Atheros card I was getting from 8-70mbps actual throughput. With the dell I get 100-107 mbps actual throughput.
