What's the best way to go from Beta to GM? Do we have to reinstall? Delete the beta profile and start fresh?

Just to be clear, the GM, until officially released, is still a beta - But to get on the official release schedule, yeah just delete the beta profile, you don't necessarily need to reinstall from scratch unless you have other reasons for doing so

I thought the GM was released already. Am I missing something?

I just delete the profile and then leave it as is.
Thanks! This is my first time doing this.

Most likely is the gm, unless they find a few bugs before tomorrow and change the build number.

If you installed todays update then deleted the profile, if you don’t receive a update tomorrow, then you have the final release already.

Personally for GM, i would update option+update with iTunes/Finder. But that's down to personal preference.

If you want to get off the beta track from now.
Simply install the GM, then remove the beta profile.

Or uninstall the profile and when the public release happens in the next day update to that.

GM and public build will be the same, so if you don't go for GM in the next 10 hours, and you delete the profile and you will get public release. No way that GM won't be the same, with the release being 24 hours apart.

I usually just OTA and carry on. Only ever do a wipe and reinstall, if I have anything majorly wrong.

So basically what you’re trying to tell me is because I’ve already installed the gm, don’t bother waking up at 3am looking for a update. 😂 have a nice sleep in instead.

I may have expressed myself unclearly; What I meant by "until officially released" was that before the GM built is released to people not in the beta program

Once the software you are referring to is released to the public, it is no longer the Golden Master (GM) but the released version of iOS 14. Same build, but what it’s called varies depending on when you encounter it. Since this build has now been released publicly, it is no longer the GM.

That is the exact sentiment I was trying to express, yes
