I have been a photoshop desktop use for many years. I use Bridge to view photos I've taken on my SD card from the camera and then decide which file(s) that I want to work on and import them in photoshop. Make edits and then save the file to an external hard drive. I have just purchased an Ipad Pro 11 second generation and have been looking at the workflow that photographers use with Lightroom. First, I am confused between Lightroom 5.1 for iOS vs IpadOS. For example, a recent article notes" Lightroom 5.1 for iOS & iPadOS Gains Support for Direct Import & Advanced Export". I really like the way that Lightroom for Ipad/iOS integrates with the apple pencil (another learning opportunity)

!. I am a Creative Account holder. which version of Lightroom should I doownload to the Ipad Pro? I want to be able to import files work on them and then export them as either jpegs or tiff files to an external hard drive just like my workflow with Photoshop. Is this possible. I want to make sure that I don't leave a bunch of files that I don't want to stay on the ipad.

2. Is there a book, ebook or a online course that would give me an orientation to Lightroom on the ipad (iOS0? Any help would be much appreciated

I should clarify that I import the Fuji raw files into Lightroom and I usually shoot both RAW and Jpeg together for the same photo... if that makes any difference.

I use mainly LR Classic (desktop), which I find better than LR CC/mobile.
Not sure why you don't use LR Classic, as it integrates well with PS desktop, or maybe you do already.
I use LR CC/mobile as an supplement to LR Classic (like when traveling or on site), not instead of LR Classic.

Anyway LR for iPadOS is for the iPad, and LR for iOS is for the iPhone.
Not sure why you say LR 5.1, as the latest version is LR 7.1 for iPad.

I don't find Apple Pencil on iPad a huge advantage for LR. Prefer mouse/trackpad on desktop.

Yes you can export TIFF etc to an external drive. But I find doing so on desktop easier, especially batch exports.

You can import RAW or jpeg or both, it will identify the RAW ones.

It shouldn't leave a bunch of file on iPad (unless you export to an iPad folder). The photos you are working on are stored in Creative Cloud (except a locally stored cache of recent files).

The are guided tutorials within the app, and also on Adobe website:

Would be interested to hear from those heavily committed to LRCC and use it solely.

Here's some stuff for inspiration:
