iPad Pro Best way to load video files onto M4 IpadPro?

I’m upgrading from a version 1 Ipad Pro. Nine years old lol. I want to do video editing on the new one. How are files transferred from camera to iPad ? Usb card reader ? Air drop from 16” MBP?

I use da Vinci resolve and black magic cameras Braw. Also a couple Panasonic gh5s

I would use a wired connection for large scale file transfer like this. Connect your old iPad, transfer those files in photos app to Mac, then transfer them to new iPad Pro’s photos app. iMazing can do the trick but it is a paid program. Image capture worked on old iOS but dunno how it fares today.
