MP 1,1-5,1 Best way to monitor temp and power?

Hello,

In the past I've used the iStat Pro Dashboard Widget to monitor the temperature of my System (you can see how long it's been since I looked into this).

What's the recommended way to do it these days?

The latest iStatsMenus version is 6.40 Build 1113. I highly recommend buying this app.

It now shows POWER ( wattage ) though h9826790 assures me that the wattage output is inaccurate - I tend to agree with him but with two Youtube vids running my RX 580 wattage with one monitor connected it " feels ' fairly accurate 😇

My room heater.

My bath / shower temp control.

My microwave oven.

My air-conditioner ( when I had one ).

My "Hotatsu" Japanese under-table heated blanket. ( I live in Japan )

Anyone who owns a 2009 ~2012 cMP and doesn't monitor CPU & Nothbridge Tdiode temps is asking for trouble.

De-Dusting & Northbridge temp reduction in Dual CPU cMP 4,1 & 5,1

( NOTE : I feel that both Northbridge temp reduction AND de-dusting/de-clogging the cheesegrater DUAL CPU cMPs deserves a separate thread to embrace the concepts. Northbridge cooling requires that all that hot air be efficiently extracted from the CPU case...

chabig, thank you for that informative post. I hope all of your posts are as insightful as that one.

MIKX beat me to car and room temperature. I'd also add my oven - if it's too cold my food is raw. If it's too hot my food is burned. If it's on when I'm not cooking it could burn down my house.
