iPad Pro Best way to move photos from iPP to another iPad or an iMac

I need to move my photos from my iPP to my mini or my Mac. What’s the easiest/quickest way to do this? I do not use iCloud for my photos.

How many photos are we talking about here? If you can do somewhat small batches than AirDrop might work. Anything bigger and you'd be best off just using iCloud Photos even if it's temporary.

you could connect your iPad via USB to your Mac and use the app Photos (on Mac) - there is an option to import all or only a few photos.

Actually, at my house that isn't quickest. We have terribly slow rural internet, and it's limited as well, so backing up photos and videos takes a lot of time, and uses up a lot of my data. Aside from that, I don't really want to store my photos in the cloud.

It was about 1800 photos and videos. I wound up connecting via USB to the Mac and transferring.
