Best way to record an audio file using my Imac's built-in mic?

Sorry if this is a silly question, but what would be the best way to do this? I need to record a wav file of a brief speech and I won't be able to get an external mic in time.

there maybe a app that comes with the OS that does it but personally I would use

audacity

Yeah, I agree. Audacity would be able to allow you to save a .wav, I think.
