I went to be able to remote into my windows pc and use my Mac since the screen is bigger and I feel it would be easier to work off of. What is the best and easier way to do this?

I read something about connecting via Ethernet each laptop to each other. But can someone dumb it all down.

Thanks.

I support @kitKAC's suggestion - I use Remote Desktop now Windows App every business day for up to 6 hours a day and it just works!

At my office (all Macs except 2 PCs we use for one specialized piece of software) we set up Microsoft Remote Desktop by pointing it to the IP address of the PC, then inputting the user name and password of a user account on the PC. I don't remember where in Windows we found that IP address. In the case of my office, we also need to be either on the office network or using our work's VPN if we are offsite. I think when someone mentioned Ethernet that was probably more of a suggestion to make it all work smoother, btw.

Works quite well! Only hitch is that I don't think you can have more than one user logged in at a time on the PC. I believe that on a Mac, you can actually log more than one person in if there are multiple user accounts. (Anyone know if this is possible in Windows?)

Just post here where everyone can see. I probably won't have much more to add than what I wrote above, but others might.
which ip address is it? I did ipconfig and I see ipv4 address subnet mask. default gateway. I am not sure which it is or how to find it on the windows pc.

Looks like Remote Desktop isn’t enabled on my windows pc. Does connecting Ethernet to Ethernet by pass this?
