I have a PowerBook G4 1.67 and an iPod that I'm looking towards selling. These are my first Apple purchases and so I'm new to the market of selling them. Does anyone have good recommendations as to the best way to do so?

since your a newbie - the market place is a no go for you , so i'd say your options are:

apple reseler - as a trade in to another mac
ebay -
friends -

:)

If I were you, I'd try to go through one of my friends first, as that will be much easier than anything else. The next best option is probably eBay. The prices on eBay are typically higher than you'll get from a reseller or somewhere like MacRumors. If you're comfortable with putting stuff on eBay, I'd go that route. You'll probably be able to get the best price there.

Naaah ebay isnt all that bad...fairly reasonable. But craigslist is free. Also you have to pay the paypal fees if you use it. I love ebay though:D

paypal fees add up quick on big money items.. i mean, if you sell even a 1300 machine, then you're looking at almost $100 of that taken by eBay and paypal. makes kind of a big impact...

I think I'll try craigslist first. I guess I'll have to work on getting my posts up so I can sell here next time!

I like buying on eBay but the seller's fees nail you. It is easier to sell on Craigslist but don't fall for the Nigerian scammers who plague the site. Craigslist is for in person deals -- makes it a lot easier to sell.
