I have the giant honking Mac Pro tower that's going out of style! What's the best way to sell this thing? S&H has got to be like $100. Maybe just Craigslist it?

eBay, Macrumors Marketplace. Not sure about S&H, but it would be a lot. Craigslist pickup could be a great option. Just out of curiosity, how much are you looking for it?

Meet them at a public place if you're using Craigslist.

They gave me the highest quote of any of the other resellers, were very easy to deal with. I described the machine with all the upgrades sent them pics. and got a quote. They arranged for and paid for shipping.

I tried Craigslist and got low ballers.

I sold my 3,1 on Craigslist in a day for the asking price. I can't imagine lugging it to the nearest Starbucks as I did with my MBP.

^^^^They did for me. Higher than the other resellers and, to be honest, higher than I expected to sell the machine for. The fellow who runs the place is Chris Lodenburger. If you use them, let me know.

Yeah, I ran my machine through their estimate engine and it came back with almost $600 where everyone else comes back with $350 or $375 so if I ever sell my machine through such a service that's probably the one I'll use. Thanks Lou!

For big ticket items I would avoid selling on eBay. Consider the 10% final value item fee - on a $3000 Mac that's $300 in fees.
