Hey, my name is Peter Ruma—Pete for short—and I’m from Vero beach, Florida. I’m new to the forum, and I need some advice. None of my friends have been able to give me a solid answer as to which MagSafe charger would be best for my 17pro?!
Don't ask what's "best" because it's totally subjective. Your iPhone only cares about volts and amps, and they all provide those.
Edit: while what I said is generally true, there are many manufacturers that take shortcuts with design and construction that puts safety at risk. Stick with reputable makers. I second the recommendation for Apple, Belkin, or Anker.
I’d get one from Apple or Anker. The main problem I’ve see with MagSafe charges is phone cases being too thick to get a good connection. Read the comments and specs on your phone case and make sure it’s MagSafe compatible.
The Belkin MagSafe charger is quite good (solid build, 10’ fabric wrapped cable) and has a stand so you can use standby or watch videos while it’s propped up.

I am happy with the Spigen Qi2 with fan. The wife was noticing how warm her 15 felt with the Qi1 stand charger we have (anker or belkin I think). I have the Spigen and the fan appears to be doing the job. I ordered a few more to upgrade the chargers around the house.
I've had both, and I am really happy with the apple hockey pucks I just bought, but I can think of plenty of reasons not to use those.
For example, you want a stand. Or you want a weighted one that doesn't come off the table when you pick up your phone. Or you want one with a usb-c connector on it so you can take it places without removing the cable and undoing the cable management you meticulously set up.
Or maybe you have other devices that don't work well with the apple pucks. Or maybe you want to use it with a usb-a plug. Or maybe it doesn't fit the aesthetics of your room.
Or maybe you don't like the price! They were on sale a couple weeks ago for $19 for the 1m and I think $24 or 29 for the 2m, which was a fantastic deal! But $40 is a lot for a wireless charger.
There's lots and lots of totally valid reasons.
Of course, the apple pucks look nice and they stick to the phone, so if you want that, there ya go! They also support 25w wireless charging on the iphone 17 pros.. The other brands are very inconsistent about that.
